Creamy Tuna Pasta
Quick, comforting, and satisfyingly creamy — this tuna pasta is a go-to weeknight meal that’s as easy to make as it is delicious. Tender pasta is coated in a smooth, velvety sauce made with pantry-friendly tuna, a touch of milk, and simple seasonings that bring it all together. Whether you're cooking for the family or just craving a cozy bowl of something warm, this dish delivers big flavour with minimal fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 packet macaroni pasta
- 200 g tasty cheese (grated)
- 500 g milk (full cream)
- 20 g butter
- 50 g plain flour (or corn flour as an alternative)
- 400 g tin of tuna chunks (in brine not oil)
- 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water and add olive oil.
- Add the following ingredients to saucepan: cheese, milk, butter, plain flour. Stir the pot and mix ingredients.
- While the sauce is cooking put your pasta into the boiling water and stir to ensure it doesn’t stick together. The pasta should take approximately 8 minutes to cook.
- When the sauce has combined and is a nice consistency, open the tinned tuna and drain. Add tuna to the sauce and cook for1 – 2 minutes.
- Drain and rinse pasta and return to the pot. Pour sauce over the pasta and gently stir through. Serve.
