- 100 g chicken livers
- 20 g mushrooms (sliced)
- 50 g potato (finely sliced and soaked in water for at least 12 hours. Boil prior to using in the recipe.)
- salt and pepper to taste
- very small pinch of dried mixed herbs
- couple of small fresh parsley leaves (no stalks)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 250 ml water
Clean the livers and remove any fat or gristle then slice them.
Sauté the mushrooms in a saucepan with the olive oil, parsley and dried mixed herbs until softened.
Add the sliced liver and sauté for approximately 1 minute or until it has changed colour.
Add the potato to the saucepan, pour the water into the pan with salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Puree in food processor until desired texture has been achieved. You may like to add some more water at this stage.
Suitable for ages 7-9 months.
Suitable for freezing.
Recommendation: Serve once a week due to the high level of Vitamin A found in liver. Excessive Vitamin A intake can be harmful.
